THE YKW PROGRAM
The Youth Keep Working program was for youth based in the Aldergrove-Abbotsford–Mission area. This 12-week program prepared youth for the workplace with a combination of customer service/retail training, life skills and job search training and certifications, plus eight weeks of actual work experience.
Our participants left Youth Keep Working with a resume that reflected their new skills and experience, plus the confidence and know-how to find a job.
- Program Allowance: minimum wage for 30 hours per week
- Program Length: 12 weeks
- Program Location: Abbotsford, BC
To qualify you must be:
- Between the ages of 16 and 30
- Out of school and not employed
- Not receiving employment insurance benefits (EI) and eligible to work in Canada
Have you considered providing work experience to youth as a recruitment tool? Our youth programs have some great candidates! Contact us for details!
…the staff of the program were supportive throughout the process and worked closely with us to ensure needs were being addressed in an appropriate manner.”
